Our Research Ecosystem

UNITEN’s research ecosystem comprises six multidisciplinary Research Institutes covering key areas in energy, engineering, technology, informatics, economics, business and sustainability. These institutes provide platforms for research collaboration, industry engagement, postgraduate development and the translation of research into meaningful outcomes.

The Research Institutes are supported by three key research and innovation enablers: the National Energy Centre (NEC), UNITEN R&D (URND), and the Research Excellence Centre (REC). Together, they strengthen research governance, funding, strategic partnerships, innovation, commercialisation and global visibility.

Through this connected ecosystem, UNITEN enables researchers, students and partners to collaborate, share expertise and transform knowledge into sustainable impact.
