Student who has completed Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM), A-Level, Matriculation, Foundation, Diploma, UEC, International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB), HND(UK) Diploma, SAME/WACE/AUSMAT or other equivalent qualifications recognised by Government of Malaysia. Keen interest in Informatics field of study especially in the area of Graphics & Multimedia. May complete education at Bachelor level to become professional or entrepreneurs, or may pursue in related Postgraduate programmes.

This syllabus has been designed to meet the requirements of professional bodies and industries while giving students the competitive edge. Emphasis is on the application of knowledge through teamwork, case studies, simulations and real life projects.

 

The Bachelor of Information Technology (Graphics & Multimedia) (Hons) programme is specially designed to produce graduates that are informative, highly skilled and competitive in the field of computer graphics and multimedia technology systems. This programme emphasizes on three main aspects which are - IT knowledge, technical know-how and good social skills. This particular programme provide technical training and allow students to research the applications of multimedia and the industries built around this technology.

Students in this programme are expected to be proficient in working with computer programmes, in which they can code their way to produce computer graphic systems that are widely used in various sectors including the education, research and entertainment industries. Our graduates can see themselves working with animation studios, game development companies, web design firms, and computer software companies. Students will be gaining a real life experience by exploring latest technologies in computer graphics and multimedia system development.

This includes the mechanics of – Computer Games Development, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, 3D Modelling and Animation. Students are also equipped with programming skills. This is to ensure the graduates are flexible enough to serve both ends in IT industries as well as in the Graphics and Multimedia industries. The programme will help students gain a solid understanding of the hardware, software and technical aspects of capturing, storing and manipulating of multimedia elements in digital form.

120 credit hours of subjects are being taught in nine semesters. This Bachelor of Information Technology (Graphics & Multimedia) (Hons) programme can be completed in 3 years.

Tuition Fees: RM75,000 per programme.

  • Monthly Fee for Accommodation: Starting from RM270/month.


Fees for International Students:
Tuition Fees: USD19,500 (RM78,000) per programme.

  • Pass Diploma programme in related field with minimum CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent

+ ENGLISH REQUIREMENTS

For Malaysian Students:

Malaysian students may enrol without MUET. However, students are required to complete MUET during duration of study (before graduation). IELTS (5.0 and above) or TOEFL (500 and above) or TOEFL Internet Based Test (42 and above) is also accepted.

    Achieve Band 1 and above


For International Students:

International students are required to have one of the English proficiency score stated below to enrol in UNITEN. Bachelor students who do not fulfill this English requirement are required to sit for the Intensive English Programme (IEP) and pass the requirement below before starting their Bachelor programme.

  • MUET – Malaysia University English Test
    Achieve Band 3.5 and above

  • IELTS – International English Language Testing System
    Achieve 5.0 and above

  • TOEFL - Test of English as a Foreign Language
    Achieve 500 (TOEFL) or 42 (TOEFL Internet Based Test) and above
